"Sariah was initially diagnosed with pleural effusion, which was later determined to be associated with a lung lobe torsion. She underwent a right lung lobectomy and received follow-up care from DVMS for medical management. She has been responding exceptionally well to treatment and will only require future follow-up with us if she experiences any respiratory difficulties."

"Cairo initially presented with leg pain, raising concerns for cancer due to his medical history. A CT scan and comprehensive lab work, including Valley Fever titers, were performed. The results revealed arthritis, and his Valley Fever titer showed a weak positive. He was started on fluconazole to address his Valley Fever symptoms. Subsequently, Cairo was diagnosed with Horner's syndrome and dropped jaw by the neurology team. This resilient patient continues to follow up with us for medical management of his Valley Fever. He has recently discontinued fluconazole and is doing exceptionally well."

"Gromelette, a 12-week-old puppy, initially presented to us was diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis. Due to the costs and required care, he was surrendered to a shelter that graciously took him in and provided the necessary treatment, including a balloon valvuloplasty to address his condition. Gromelette continues to follow up with us and is thriving. He has since been adopted by a loving family who adores his charming, squishy face and ensures he receives the care he needs."

"Sami was first hospitalized in 2022 due to difficulty breathing and coughing. He was later diagnosed with possible diet-related cardiomyopathy, left-sided congestive heart failure, and atrial fibrillation. His treatment plan included a regimen of medications and a transition away from his grain-free diet to assess its impact on his heart health. As of 2025, Sami has shown significant improvement and is doing remarkably well. He has been able to discontinue most of his medications and continues to have follow-up visits as needed to monitor his heart health."

Freya, a stunning Doberman, has been under the care of Cardiology for several years. According to her owner, "We are grateful for the care we've received from your clinic. Everything started during her first year of life. In 2021, Dr. Church consulted with us and provided a clear plan on what to do—and what not to do—with her care. As she matured, we put her on a regular screening schedule." Recently, Freya was fitted with a Holter monitor, which she wears for 24 hours to track her heart’s activity. The recorded data is then sent out for interpretation, giving us a comprehensive overview of her cardiac health. She will continue to see the Cardiology team for follow-ups as needed, and overall, she is doing very well.
